If the lender is unable to offer you finance, we will try up to three additional lenders, each of whom will record a search on your credit file. If these lenders are unable to offer you a finance agreement, we will then contact you and ask if you wish us to contact further lenders on your behalf.

Used Car Review: 2020 Toyota C-HR 1.8 Hybrid Excel CVT
If you're in the market for a stylish, efficient, and well-equipped hybrid hatchback, the 2020 Toyota C-HR 1.8 Hybrid Excel deserves a serious look. With its sharp design, strong reliability record, and frugal hybrid powertrain, this C-HR offers a great mix of form and function—especially in the high-spec Excel trim.
⚙️ Performance & Hybrid Efficiency
Powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine paired with Toyota’s self-charging hybrid system, the 2020 C-HR delivers 122hp through a CVT automatic transmission. It’s not a racer, but it’s smooth and responsive enough for daily driving. The hybrid system does its best work in stop-start traffic, often running on electric power alone at low speeds.
Expect real-world fuel economy of 50–60mpg, making it a solid option for commuters or city drivers who want to cut down on fuel costs without going fully electric.
🛋️ Interior, Tech & Comfort – Excel Trim
The Excel trim on the 20 plate comes with a host of premium features, including:
Half leather heated front seats
8-inch touchscreen infotainment with built-in sat nav, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto
Keyless entry and start
Reversing camera and front/rear parking sensors
Blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert
18-inch alloy wheels
The cabin design feels modern and driver-focused, with quality materials and good sound insulation. Space up front is generous, though the sloping roofline means rear headroom is a bit tight for taller passengers. The boot offers 358 litres, which is decent for a car of this size.
🎨 Styling That Still Stands Out
Even a few years on, the C-HR still turns heads. The 2020 model carries bold lines, aggressive LED headlights, and coupe-inspired curves that make it look more like a concept car than a typical family hatchback. The Excel trim adds sleek wheels and chrome touches that elevate its road presence.
🛡️ Safety & Reliability
The 2020 C-HR is packed with safety tech thanks to Toyota Safety Sense, which includes:
Adaptive cruise control
Lane departure warning with steering assist
Pre-collision system with pedestrian detection
Traffic sign recognition
Toyota’s build quality and reliability reputation means peace of mind, and the hybrid system has proven to be very dependable. Many 20-plate models will still be within Toyota’s 5-year/100,000-mile warranty, or just outside of it depending on mileage.
✅ Verdict
The 2020 Toyota C-HR 1.8 Hybrid Excel is a great used buy for those looking for a stylish, efficient, and well-equipped crossover. It blends coupe-like looks with hatchback practicality, and thanks to the hybrid tech, it's easy on the fuel and on the planet. With the Excel trim, you’re getting a premium experience without stepping into luxury SUV prices.
Ideal for urban drivers, young professionals, or small families who want something different from the typical crossover crowd.
